Phonics and Reading

In Phonics, we follow the Read Write Inc. scheme of work. Every child works at their own pace and will read from a certain colour of book. Our focus is for children to blend accurately and read fluently. Our children also read for fluency so practise reading the same book lots of time to help them feel confident. We also have additional guided and whole class reading sessions where we build comprehension and inference skills.
