Our Amazing School
Water Leys is an extremely popular primary school. We have places for 420 pupils from FS2 to Year 6 with spaces for 60 pupils (2 classes of 30) in each year group. We can admit children into classes at any point in the school year, if we have spaces. We also take many children out of our catchment area.

For parents looking for a place for their child to start school in September 2024, applications open in November 2023 and close on 15th January 2024.
Come and join one of our open afternoons for the opportunity to meet with the Headteacher and see our wonderful school in action. Our open afternoons are on:
Thursday 9th November at 1.30pm
Wednesday 29th November at 1.30pm
Monday 18th December at 1.30pm
Please ring the school office to book at place.
If you are unable to attend one of our open afternoons but would like to find out more about our school, please contact the school office to book a tour at a different time.
Applications are welcome from families who live in and out of our catchment area. More than half of our pupils do not live in our catchment area.

Admissions
For 2023/2024 pupils will be admitted to Reception with a cohort size set for 60 children.
All admission applications should be made through the Leicestershire Local Authority website.

Applying for a place mid year for all year groups
If you are interested in a place for your child and wish to move them from another school during the academic year, please call our school office to find out if we have any places in the year group. Our office staff will then advise how to make an application to the Leicestershire Local Authority.
