We have lots of ways we support our children's mental health at Water Leys. One of the main ways is through our fantastic and systematic PSHE programme, Jigsaw. We have worry monsters in each class and we have regular assemblies about mental health. When we have particularly tricky times, we can support or children by having a chat to an adult in the class, a bit of time with our Emotional Literacy and Support Assistant (ELSA), our Coping with Worry group, counselling or with our NHS Mental Health Support Worker.
The first thing you should always do is speak to your child's class teacher. They know your child best and will be able to signpost to the best way to help you and your child/ren.
