PE and Sport Premium

PE and Sports Premium

The PE and Sports Premium is additional government funding provided to primary schools to improve the quality of physical education (PE), physical activity, and sport. The aim is to ensure all children develop healthy, active lifestyles and have the opportunity to take part in high-quality PE lessons and a range of sporting activities.

At Water Leys, we use this funding to:

  • Enhance the quality of PE teaching across the school

  • Provide a wider variety of sports and physical activities

  • Increase participation in physical activity and after-school clubs

  • Develop staff expertise through training and support

  • Promote active playtimes and encourage healthy lifestyle choices
