At Water Leys Primary School we are responsible for educating children from FS2 (aged 4) to Year 6 (11 year olds).
As the Headteacher of Water Leys Primary School for the last 5 years or so, I take great pride from the fact that our school continues to go from strength to strength. Foundation Stage 2 continues to improve, providing many opportunities for parents to engage and make a difference. In Key Stage 1, outcomes continue to be consistently good or better. The curriculum is broad and subjects are interwoven though topics that capture the children’s imagination and supports the children in making a smooth transition for the next stage of their education. In Key Stage 2 our outcomes are now better than those nationally and the children enjoy a rich and varied curriculum.
Our talented staff team work tirelessly to ensure that outcomes are at least in line with the National, and that pupils have an excellent start to their school education.
Our biggest challenge over the coming years is to ensure that we sustain excellent outcomes for all of our children and continue to improve. We will only do that by working together.
If you currently have a child at our school, with your continued support we can go from strength to strength together and ensure our children have every advantage we can provide. If you are thinking of sending your child to Water Leys, I would encourage you to have a look around, then look around at other schools in the area and make an informed decision. Hopefully we will see you soon.
